ABOUT THE ARTIST

Yvette Miller is a proud Canadian artist. Her career as a fine artist started from an early age and has resulted in an impressive body of work. She has created over 500 original oil paintings and 30 limited edition prints and glicée. Her works of art are displayed in a great number of private collections and corporate boardrooms throughout the world.

 

Yvette has painted Canada Coast to Coast with a focus on her home Province, Ontario. She is called to by the natural beauty and history of Canada. The ever-changing beauty, vastness and unlimited colour of the impressive Canadian landscape inspire her work. Yvette has always preferred to emerge herself in the subjects she paints. Numerous trips into the Canadian landscape, hiking and canoeing, has resulted in some of her most impressive paintings. Her trips into Killarney, Georgian Bay and Algonquin Park, follow in a long tradition of Canadian landscape painting most recognized in the work of the Group of Seven.

 

As an established fine artist, Yvette has consistently exhibited her paintings since the early 1970’s. Her timeless and captivating vision has led her to exhibit throughout Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe. The glory and privilege she has had to focus solely on her art and family is not lost on her.

 

For many years the ‘Yvette Miller Fine Art Gallery’ in Barrie, Ontario has served as her studio and primary solo exhibition space. On a regular basis she contributes to group exhibitions throughout Ontario. Yvette Miller is an Elected Professional Member of The Toronto Arts and Letters Club (founded by the Group of Seven) and an Elected Member.
